Assam prisoners shock authorities with jail escape using basic supplies and items they wore
Five undertrial prisoners escaped from Morigaon District Jail in Assam early Friday morning. They used a makeshift rope made of bed sheets, blankets, and lungis to climb the 20-foot-high wall. The inmates were facing POCSO Act charges. An extensive search operation is ongoing, and a magisterial inquiry has been ordered to investigate security lapses.
