Police arrest man found with 91 MDMA tablets, find more drugs in his house
Police in Limassol on Saturday announced the arrest of a 22-year-old man who they found to be in possession of a total of 91 MDMA tablets.
The police said the man was spotted at around 1.30am on Saturday after they saw a car “parked suspiciously on a street with its engine running”, with a 19-year-old male in the driver’s seat and the 22-year-old in the passenger’s seat.
They then searched the pair, finding the MDMA pills in two nylon bags in the possession of the 22-year-old. They also found a nylon bag with nine grams of crystal meth inside.
The man was then arrested before police conducted a search of his house, finding 37 grams of cannabis, four grams of cocaine, and 2.5 grams of white powder methamphetamine, commonly known as speed.
He will face charges of possession with the intent to supply. The 19-year-old was released without charge after no incriminating evidence was found against him.
