Does Jessica Chastain Know She Won an Oscar?
Look, airlines screw over many types of people. Young, old, rich, poor, redheaded actress, and non-redheaded actress. Still, if you’re a redheaded Oscar winner, it is probably beneath you to tweet at them. Jessica Chastain disagrees, however. In a since-deleted tweet, the Oscar winner (and Tony nominee, for what it’s worth) called out JetBlue for its crimes against actresses. “Thanks you @JetBlue for your $15.00 credit,” she said in the October 10 post, per TMZ. “My flight was $1,500 and the credit is 1/100 of the money I paid you. Strange that I paid that for your flight entertainment system that didn’t work for the duration of my 6hr flight, but I guess it was worth it for this $15 credit.” To clarify, it appears that Chastain’s flight did take off, but her in-air entertainment did not work. She then tweeted a screenshot of her battling with a JetBlue agent over DMs. The DMs did not go well and ended with the agent telling Chastain, “I am sorry there is not more I can do.” Honestly, while we are of course sympathetic to Chastain’s flight plight, in this particular situation, we must advise this: If the airline gets you and your baggage to your destination even close to on time, you’ve already won. It is not worth your Oscar-winning time to battle online.
