0

Hotspur Way will feel rather empty for Ange Postecoglou and co this weekend, as a number of Tottenham stars have jetted off for international duty. But when will they return to North London?

Tottenham’s international stars

Tottenham are well-represented on international duty this week, with a number of the club’s first-team stars flying off to take part in the Nations League, AFCON qualifiers, and World Cup qualifiers.

The likes of Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven, Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski will all be in action over the next seven days. You can check all the international fixtures involving Spurs players here.

The Lilywhites also have a number of starlets on youth international duty, including Mikey Moore and Archie Gray.

Who is still at Hotspur Way?

Not everyone has been called up to represent their country though. A smattering of first-team Tottenham players have stayed back at Hotspur Way, while a number of others are still in the injury room.

Heung-min Son, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert continue their recovery to full fitness, while James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur, Timo Werner, Djed Spence, Sergio Reguilon, Fraser Forster, Brandon Austin and Alfie Whiteman are in training this week.

Postecoglou will also have the vast majority of the academy to call upon to make up the numbers in first-team training until everyone else returns.

When do the Spurs players get back?

Dominic Solanke plays his final England match on Sunday evening, while Lucas Bergvall, Dejan Kulusevski, Yves Bissouma, Ben Davies, Brennan Johnson, Destiny Udogie, Guglielmo Vicario and Micky van de Ven all play on Monday.

Football London report that these players are thus expected back at Hotspur Way on Tuesday.

Mikey Moore, Pape Matar Sarr, Radu Dragusin, Pedro Porro and Archie Gray all play their final games on Tuesday so are expected back at Hotspur Way on Wednesday or Thursday. Cristian Romero doesn’t play until 1 am Wednesday morning, so Thursday seems more likely for him.

Tottenham play their next match against West Ham United at 12:30 on Saturday.
