Rapper T.I. Makes Big Announcement About Future of Career

0

Rapper Tip “T.I.” Harris made a shocking revelation about the future of his career during an Oct. 10 interview with Colorado radio station 96.1 The Beat.

T.I. was appearing to discuss his headlining gig at Atlanta’s Jingle Ball on Dec. 19, which as it turns out will be his last live performance. “I appreciate y’all for offering me my last working gig,” he said, “because I do not need the money anymore and I will not be performing.”

The “Whatever You Like” singer, 45, explained that he’s tired of the relentless touring schedule and being at the beck and call of others. “I don’t want to do it anymore,” he said. “I don’t want people to pay me to hop around and sweat for their entertainment anymore.”

One of the hosts then asked T.I. if he planned to “do” anything at future live shows, even in a smaller capacity. “Of course,” the singer shot back. “I’m going to answer the phone to tell them that I will not be performing.” However, T.I. did leave open the possibility that he would possibly consider a performance if it was entirely on his terms.

The announcement comes one month after T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris were awarded $71 million in their lawsuit against MGA Entertainment. They claimed MGA violated the intellectual property rights of their music company, OMG Girlz, by releasing a line of L.O.L. O.M.G. dolls.
