SANSA, NASA to establish an antenna facility in the Western Cape
The South African National Space Agency (SANSA) has signed an agreement with the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to establish a NASA antenna facility at the Matjiesfontein (MTJ) site, in the Western Cape, marking a major milestone in South Africa’s participation in international space programmes. In an October 11 media release, SANSA says this historic partnership solidifies its inclusion in NASA’s global Lunar Exploration Ground Sites (LEGS) programme.
