Uttarakhand: Gangotri temple to close for winter on Nov 2, Yamunotri on Nov 3

Gangotri and Yamunotri temples in the Garhwal Himalayas will close for winter on November 2 and 3. The idols of Goddess Ganga and Goddess Yamuna will be moved to Mukhba and Kharsali villages, respectively, for worship during the snowbound months.
