The rupee hit a record low against the U.S. dollar, down 0.1% at 84.06, pressured by rising oil prices and the exit of foreign investors from domestic equities. Top gainers on the NSE included Trent (+2.52%), Hindalco (+2.27%), HCL Tech (+1.73%), Tech Mahindra (+1.56%), and ONGC (+1.35%).
