What a game that was! The Guardians beat the Tigers 5-4 in Game 4 of the ALDS, bringing the series back to Cleveland for a Game 5. Our All-Stars sure showed up today after having a tough start to the series. José Ramírez went yard, Emmanuel Clase came in for a 5 out save, and Steven Kwan had another 3 hit game to raise his postseason average to .500!!! And last not but least, David Fry may have become a Cleveland legend for what he did today. Words can’t describe how huge that go ahead 2 run home run in the 7th inning was when it felt like scoring one single run was impossible for this offense. Then the squeeze bunt to get the insurance run in the 9th was just PERFECT.
David Fry in the 7th: pinch-hit, go-ahead, two-out, two-strike, clutch-as-hell homer

David Fry in the 9th: guess I’ll just bunt in another run pic.twitter.com/2P6YUEkTco
It’s hilarious because I was pretty angry when Vogt took Manzardo out for Fry. I 100% was hoping to see Manzardo vs a lefty rather than Fry vs a righty, and boy am I glad I was wrong. And how about Brayan Rocchio??? What a series he is having! He looks like a completely different player than the guy we watched all season. I am praying he keeps this up.
Tanner Bibee was solid today, though I thought Vogt left him in one batter too long. I think the star of the pitching staff was Hunter Gaddis. He came in in a tough situation and made all the perfect pitches, despite giving up that bloop single that scored a run.

Tim Herrin continues to look rough in this series after his phenomenal season. I think I’d definitely prefer to see Sabrowski and Cantillo over him in Game 5 against guys like Kerry Carpenter and Riley Greene.
Next up is likely Matthew Boyd vs Tarik Skubal for Game 5 on Saturday, October 12th at 8:08 pm!
