Hong Kong’s Wine & Dine festival returns this October
MANILA, Philippines – Food and wine lovers can start booking their flights to Hong Kong as the much-anticipated Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival makes a comeback for five days of gastronomic and cultural delights!
Running from October 23 to 27, 2024, the festival promises a gathering of over 300 food and drink booths, all set against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour at Central Harbourfront Event Space on Hong Kong Island.
The festival will offer a variety of food from Michelin-starred restaurants, international wines, and special zones for gin and whisky. Visitors can enjoy live performances, cooking workshops, and a Halloween-themed weekend with costume contests and themed cocktails.
What to expect
The event will have food vendors from over 100 outlets, including Michelin-starred restaurants and Bib Gourmand-recommended eateries. Foodies can try famous dishes from renowned dining places such as Forum Restaurant, Hong Kong Cuisine 1983, and Ăn Chơi.
The “Culinary Stars” and “Hotel Delicious” zones will offer a wider appreciation of meals and delicacies around the globe.
Wines and spirits connoisseurs can sample from a selection from over 30 countries presented at the festival. One whole part is for gin, and a separate part is for whisky lovers who are welcome to taste visionary Cantonese gin cocktails of Kinsman and tea cocktails by Tell Camellia. Local cocktails will also be featured; N.I.P. Gin, a gin born and brewed in Hong Kong, will be included.
Food enthusiasts can also visit the Tasting Theatre, which will feature workshops by prominent chefs and sommeliers on particular themes. James Beard award winner Nancy Silverton is scheduled to offer fresh perspectives on well-known meals such as Caesar Salad.
From October 26 to 27, the festival will transform into a Halloween celebration, where guests can earn tokens for the best costumes and enjoy performances and live music.
