11kg of cannabis seized

Police seized a haul of 11 kilos of cannabis in a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old suspect in Larnaca on Thursday.

The man, a Limassol resident, was arrested around 8pm for possession of illegal drugs with intent to supply.

According to the police, the man attempted to evade arrest, driving dangerously, as a result of which he collided with two police cars.

Police found eleven plastic bags with cannabis weighing 11.32 kg inside the suspect’s vehicle.

The Larnaca anti-drug unit is furthering the investigation.
