Human remains found in box on West Side

Detectives are conducting a death investigation after human body remains were found Thursday in Garfield Park on the West Side.

A person who was on a sidewalk found a box containing the remains about 5:50 p.m. in the 2600 block of West Taylor Street, according to Chicago police.

No other information was available.
