Schenectady man arrested after Niskayuna road rage incident
NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Niskayuna Police Department announced that a Schenectady man was arrested on Thursday following an investigation into a road rage incident. Khalid Sheffield, 53, faces several felony charges.
On October 2 just before 5 p.m., police responded to reports of an altercation on Troy Schenectady Road near Lishakill Road. The initial investigation revealed that a road rage dispute involving gunfire had taken place in the area.
Further investigation resulted in Sheffield being identified as a suspect, leading to his arrest by Niskayuna Police and the Schenectady County Sheriff's Office on October 10. He now faces the following charges:
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- First-degree reckless endangerment
- Criminal possession of a firearm
