Kansas DCF to host community resource fair in Topeka
TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) will be hosting a community resource fair to help residents find area employers and learn about resources available.
From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Oct. 16, the Topeka DCF Service Center will be hosting Together Shawnee County. This is the seventh event the Kansas DCF has hosted in 2024.
“These Together events provide Kansans the opportunity to connect with and learn about the resources available in their own communities,” said DCF Secretary Laura Howard. “The resource fairs further our belief of meeting families and Kansans where they are as we walk alongside them and provide supports.”
In addition to job and community resources, free popcorn, a balloon animal artist and a face painter will be set up for kids. You can find the Topeka DCF Service Center at 500 Southwest Van Buren Street.
