First ever Since Beginning: Joe Root and Harry Brook Destroy Pakistan and make History
As they continue on to have a destructive game against Pakistan, England has created a new record on the 4th Day of the 1st test in Multan.
Joe Root and Harry Brook crafted a partnership of 454 runs on Thursday, making a moment which has never been seen in the world of cricket.
Since the start of the format in 1877, this has happened for the first time that two batters have made 450 runs on the board as a pair for 4th wicket.
This 454-run partnership is also the overall highest partnership for any wicket by a pair in a Test match away from home.
The record for the overall highest partnership in Test cricket is secured by Mahela Jayawarden and Kumar Sangakkara, who made a partnership of 624 runs against South Africa in 2006.
