THIS is how a fake quote from Ratan Tata inspired India’s young bowling sensation Mayank Yadav
New Delhi: India’s young fast-bowling sensation Mayank Yadav has created a storm in the cricket world. However, did you know that Yadav was offered a Navy job before entering into the sport? Despite having the opportunity to take the job, his love for cricket prevailed, and he decided to leave the job and focus solely on his career in sports. What solidified his decision was a fake quote by Ratan Tata.
It is worth mentioning that his coach was angry with him for rejecting the job offer, there was also a fear of how an injury could cut short his career. This, combined with uncertainty during COVID-19, caused more worry. So, in an attempt to make sense of his life, he started to read the Bhagavad Gita. Yadav says that his life changed only after seeing a quote by Ratan Tata on social media. Yadav said, “I read somewhere that Ratan Tata said, ‘I don’t believe in taking right decisions; I take decisions, then I make them right’. That clicked for me,” reported The Indian Express.
Talking about the quote by Ratan Tata, a quick Google search for the quote shows an interview with Ratan Tata in which the anchor questions him about the quote that served as Yadav’s inspiration. It was revealed that Tata had never said those words, and it was a statement made on social media.
Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, passed away on Wednesday (9th October 2024) in a Mumbai hospital. He was undergoing treatment in critical condition and was in intensive care in the hospital for the past few days. Ratan Tata, 86, on Monday, said he was undergoing a routine medical investigation due to his age and related medical conditions.
Several reports of his hospital admission surfaced earlier in the week, but Ratan Tata had reassured the public, stating he was undergoing routine medical checkups due to his age and related health concerns.
