H-E-B breaks ground on Manor location

MANOR (KXAN) -- On Wednesday morning, H-E-B broke ground on a new store location in Manor.

The grocery store chain held a private groundbreaking ceremony for the new store, which will be located across from the Whataburger on U.S. 290 East, near the Walmart, according to a release from H-E-B.

“It’s always an honor and a privilege to open our first store in a new community, allowing us to serve even more Texans,” said Cathy Harm, H-E-B senior vice president for Central Texas. “We look forward to meeting our new customers and serving Manor with a wide assortment of products and services and the best H-E-B has to offer.”

The 101,000+ sq. ft. store is expected to open in late 2025.

"The Manor H-E-B will provide customers with an expanded product selection along with services and features, including Pharmacy pick-up spaces, a large Curbside area, a seven-pump fuel station, and a car wash," the company said.

In addition to the ground-breaking ceremony, H-E-B also gave four local nonprofits $5,000 each. H-E-B said the nonprofits included:

• Manor ISD Education Foundation
• Healing with Horses Ranch
• Manor Schoolhouse Foundation
• Jesse Samaripa American Legion Post 331

According to its website, H-E-B operates more than 430 stores in Texas and Mexico. The Texas grocer has also been ranked at or near the top of Dunnhumby's list of best grocery stores in the nation over the last several years.
