Get to Know Broadway's 'Back to the Future' Star Casey Likes with These 10 Fun Facts! (Exclusive)

Casey Likes is one of Broadway’s brightest young stars with multiple credits to his name and he’s currently leading the hit musical Back to the Future!

The 22-year-old actor made his Broadway debut in 2022 with the film-to-stage adaptation of Almost Famous and now he’s starring as Marty McFly in the musical adaptation of the classic movie.

With Back to the Future entering its second year on Broadway, we caught up with Casey to learn more about him.

1. My favorite artist of all time is Frank Ocean, I think his persona and his work is just brilliantly crafted. Also where’s the album?
2. My favorite movie is ET. It’s a perfect movie. It just hits every emotion perfectly and it still holds up to this day.
3. I was on a golf team in elementary school. My great grandma taught me how to play and I smoked grandpas on the driving range.
4. I used to do puppetry magic and ventriloquism for kids birthday parties when I was… also a kid. That’s why my production company was named “ThePMVproductions.” Although now it stands for Professional Magic Video.
5. Soccer is the one sport other than golf I can play. I felt very cool being one of the only white kids at my school who could keep up.

6. Being from Arizona it took a while to actually visit New York. My first Broadway show I saw was Beautiful the Carole King Musical at 17 years old.
7. I was cast in my first Broadway role in Almost Famous months after seeing my first Broadway show.
8. My love for theme parks can not be described. I will get you through an entire park in a day.
9. I self produce things constantly because I get bored and selfishly have a lot to say through art. Short Films mostly, but occasionally theatre and even haunted houses as well. I have had to wear many hats throughout doing that as a director, writer, producer, cinematographer, and editing.
10. My family all at one point have worked as artists, and now they all work in education. A good upbringing.
