'Butler is big, big': Mike Johnson mocks Trump with impersonation
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) attempted to do a short impersonation of former President Donald Trump.
At a recent rally with evangelicals in Arlington, Texas, Johnson said that he had tried to speak to the former president at an earlier event but wasn't able to because the Wi-Fi on Trump's plane was not working.
"Trump Force One always has Wi-Fi," Johnson explained, according to Politico. "I don't know what happened. But he didn't answer. He sent me a note later and he said, thanks so much."
Johnson said that he would attempt a Trump impersonation by reading a text message from the Republican candidate if the audience agreed not to record it.
"Don't record this part and I'll do it," Johnson remarked. "He said, thanks so much, Mike. He said, Butler is big, big."
Johnson's short impersonation referred to Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
"He said he's up in the polls with Hispanic and Latino voters," the House Speaker added. "And he says, speak to you later. So I said, that's incredible. That's awesome, Mr. President."
Johnson went on to record a message to Trump from the audience.

"Let's do a selfie video here," he explained. "And I'm going to say something like, hey, we're here in Arlington. Is Texas ready to take back the White House for Donald J. Trump?"
"I think you know the response, right?" Johnson added. "So when you do it, let's encourage him. He needs encouragement."
