Parliamentary panel on IT to examine mechanism to curb fake news, OTT issues

The parliamentary committee will review mechanisms to curb fake news, OTT platforms, cryptocurrencies, and Artificial Intelligence. It will also examine cyber crimes, media laws, and Prasar Bharati. The panel, chaired by Nishikant Dubey, is responsible for oversight of several ministries and will address the regulation and monitoring of digital and cyber crimes.
