Finnish debt crisis deepens: 15,000 more face payment defaults in 2024

The number of Finnish consumers struggling with payment defaults continues to grow, with 15,000 more individuals facing financial difficulties compared to the end of 2023. According to the latest data from Suomen Asiakastieto Oy, the total number of consumers registered with payment defaults reached 365,500 by the end of September 2024.

While the growth rate of new payment defaults has slowed compared to earlier this year, the numbers remain concerning.
