News24 | SA courts face massive backlog of cases, AGSA tells Parliament

By 30 June this year, South African courts had a backlog of 37 497 cases, with the most prevalent cases being rape, murder and assault, the Auditor-General has told the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development.
