New Delhi: Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh was rewarded for his sensational start to the T20I series against Bangladesh. The Indian pacer has broken into the top 10 of the ICC Twenty20 International cricket rankings for the first time in his career. Arshdeep rose from No. 16 to No. 8 in the bowling charts, updated on Wednesday, October 09.

Arshdeep Singh’s previous best ranking was No. 13, but his impressive performance in Gwalior on Sunday, October 6, propelled him to achieve a career-high position of No. 8 in the T20I bowling charts.

Arshdeep Singh stands as the sole Indian in the top 10 of the ICC T20I Rankings for men’s bowlers. England’s Adil Rashid occupies the top spot, closely followed by Akeal Hosein from the West Indies. Meanwhile, Ravi Bishnoi, who was not selected for the first T20I in Gwalior, has fallen one position to No. 12 in the latest rankings.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya has climbed four places to re-enter the top three in the ICC T20I rankings for men’s all-rounders. England’s Liam Livingstone maintains his lead at the top of the all-rounder rankings with 253 rating points. Pandya previously held the No. 1 position after his pivotal contributions to India’s T20 World Cup victory in June. Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee occupies the second spot.

No other Indian player features in the top 10 of the all-rounder rankings, with Axar Patel currently positioned at No. 11.

Arshdeep Singh was pivotal in India’s seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh, claiming three wickets for just 14 runs in 3.5 overs. The Punjab Kings pacer significantly impacted Bangladesh’s innings by dismissing Litton Das and Parvez Emon early on Sunday, earning him the Player of the Match award for his outstanding performance.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya contributed to the team’s success by taking a wicket and scoring a brisk 39 runs off just 16 balls, which featured his viral no-look shot. His performances continue to impress in the T20 format for India.
