I got a facelift in my 40s like Katie Price – it’s desperate to wait, trolls say I looked better before but I disagree
Caroline Stanbury has revealed how going for a facelift before hitting 50 was the best decision she ever made.
The 48-year-old reality TV star went under the knife ten months ago to go for a facelift and said she couldn’t understand why people waited until they were 70 and ‘desperate.’

Speaking of the surgery ten months on, Caroline, from the UK, revealed it was the best decision she had ever made.
She revealed: “Why on earth would you do this in your seventies or even late 60s? I don’t get it.
“I don’t understand now why doctors have always told us to hang on, hang on till we look desperate.
“All I can say is actually been the best decision of my life.”
Speaking to People, Caroline revealed filler and Botox, which she had done since she was 26, wasn’t given her the look she desired.
“I had one crazy eyebrow. My lips had gone a bit weird. My face just [got] rounder and rounder and bigger and bigger, because I just kept pumping filler in my jawline,” she said.
Caroline opted to get her filler dissolved and go for a facelift instead, documenting the journey on social media for everyone to see.
Her surgery consisted of a deep plane facelift and had excess eyelid skin removed.
She didn’t get her eyes lifted, which she says made a “massive difference” — and relies on Botox for her forehead instead.
Caroline added that she shared her journey as she doesn’t want people to feel bad about themselves and pretend her youthful looks are natural.
“It’s rubbish,” she said. “That’s not what skin looks like in your forties unless you’ve been yanked within an inch of your life by a very clever surgeon.”
The clip of her podcast has gone viral on her TikTok account @uncutanduncensored with over 1 million views.
People were quick to share their views in the comments – with many claiming she looked better before.
When do surgeons recommend a facelift?
A facelift (rhytidectomy) is cosmetic surgery to lift up and pull back the skin on the face to make the face look tighter and smoother. The procedure is designed to reduce loose skin around the lower half of the face (mainly the jowls) and neck.
Plastic surgeon Antony Fitton revealed the best age to get a face lift if it’s something you are interested in.
He said: “A facelift is not usually the best surgical option for anyone under the age of 30, and for those who are in their 30’s it is still questionable whether they should be considering the procedure. There needs to be true signs of aging before a facelift is considered.
“For most people, the benefits of a facelift can be most appreciated when they are in their 40s, 50s and 60s. This is because from around 40 onwards, the signs of ageing that a facelift can target gradually (or for some, progressively quickly) become more and more prevalent.
One person wrote: “Ladies love yourself you don’t need surgery.”
Another commented: “STOP THIS. Real ageing is true beauty.”
“YOU DO NOT NEED SURGERY, HUMANS AGE AND THAT’S OKAY AND BEAUTIFUL,” penned a third.
Meanwhile many approved of the surgery, a fourth said: “I did my mini at 45 it was great! Will do a full at 50.”
“You look amazing,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Did mine at 48, best decision ever.”
