Selena Gomez has fully embraced the “office siren” trend during a recent outing on Oct. 8. in New York City, in a pair of patent leather Jimmy Choos.
Gomez celebrated the second year of her makeup company Rare Beauty and Sephora’s Make A Rare Impact Campaign in honor of World Mental Health Day by doing a meet and greet with fans in Soho. For the event, she opted for a full on Khaite NY look, including the brand’s low-cut Toto bodysuit in black and their Marinta pant in the color chalk.
She tied the look together with Khaite’s Benny belt with gold studs, Saint Laurent’s Celia leather mini tote and a pair of Jimmy Choo’s Ixia 95 black patent leather pumps. The shoes retail for $975.
The “Emilia Perez” star, who has been working closely with stylist Erin Walsh, has been elevating her wardrobe even further and option for elegant ensembles, which are often all-black. For most of her looks, she has switched between Giuseppe Zanotti platform pumps, Christian Louboutin heels and Prada loafers. But in the past week, she has reached for the Ixia on more than one occasion.
She was spotted out and about in New York City after attending a dinner for her upcoming Netflix movie pairing the shoes with a mini dress and a blazer. During a different outing, she wore the shoes with an off the shoulder blouse and Banana Republic jeans.
The Ixia takes the classic pump to the next level thanks to its eye-grabbing drop heel and square-cut vamp. The patent leather makes it look sleek and sexy, while the three inch heel and pointed toe add a layer of sophistication.
Ahead of World Mental Health Day, which takes place on Oct. 10, Gomez has partnered with Sephora who will be donating 100 percent of its Rare Beauty sales that day to the Rare Impact Fund. Gomez launched the cosmetics brand in September 2020, and alongside that launch she founded The Rare Impact Fund with the goal of raising $100 million to improve youth mental health around the world.
The second annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit, the annual fundraiser in support of the Rare Impact Fund, will be held on Oct. 24 in Los Angeles.
