However it was her comment about comedian Chris that got fans REALLY talking.
It came about when host Fleur East asked her: “You are such a tightknit group as well this year, do you have any advice or tips for the other celebs?”
Toyah laughed and started clapping, before pointing at the camera and shouting: “If you don’t want to do a dance off, get rid of Chris!”
Fleur then looked off camera and grimaced while Toyah then clarified: “You are all going to have to face a dance off.”
Attempting to move the conversation on, Neil then quipped: “I think she has chosen her winner already.”
But her comment infuriated fans who took to social media to vent.
However, Toyah is now keen to set the record straight, and posted her own message on Instagram.
Sharing a picture of Chris, the singer wrote: “Just to clarify and to clear up any confusion that’s flying around.
“My good friend @chrismccausland, is my favourite to win this year, I think he is inspiring and brilliant, he has worked so hard and I wish him nothing but love! Toyah x
However, Toyah’s It Take Two interview wasn’t all bad as her pro-partner Neil was full of praise for her.
Asked if he had some parting words for the singer now their dancing days together were over, he said: ” See you soon, you are not getting rid of me. You have got me for life now.
He continued: “Toyah has been brilliant. We have laughed so much, we have had so much fun and we have had some really great conversations as well.”
Strictly continues on Saturday night at 6.20pm on BBC One.
