Inside details of Pakistan’s most luxurious train, no match for Vande Bharat, Maharaja Express, Deccan Queen, Palace on Wheels, it’s name is…

When it comes to luxury train travel, India is renowned for its top-tier options like the Vande Bharat Express, Maharaja Express, and Palace on Wheels. However, Pakistan also offers a premium train experience with its famous train named as ‘Green Line Express’, a service that has gained popularity among travellers seeking comfort and luxury.

Pakistan’s Most Luxurious Train

The Green Line Express is Pakistan’s most luxurious train, operating between Karachi and Islamabad. It makes stops at 10 stations along the way, offering passengers a range of high-end amenities such as complimentary meals, utility kits, and refreshments. The train also provides modern conveniences like Wi-Fi, onboard entertainment, and cleaning services, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers.

Locally, the train has earned the nickname “the moving ship” due to its superior services and comfort. It was first launched in 2015 and quickly became the go-to choice for those looking for a premium travel experience in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Green Line VS India’s Vande Bharat

While the Green Line Express offers a luxurious experience, it lags behind India’s Vande Bharat Express in terms of speed. The Green Line Express has a top speed of 105 km/h, which is considerably slower compared to the Vande Bharat Express, which can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h. In fact, most Vande Bharat trains regularly operate at speeds of around 130 km/h, making them not only faster but also more efficient.

While the Green Line Express delivers a luxurious journey, it is still no match for India’s other premium train services like Maharaja Express. It was launched in 2010, the Maharaja Express is considered one of the most expensive and luxurious trains in the world. Ticket prices start at INR 3 lakh (approximately USD 3,600), and it offers a royal experience with lavish interiors, dining, and an itinerary filled with visits to India’s top historical and cultural landmarks.

Both India and Pakistan offer unique luxury train experiences. However, when it comes to sheer opulence and grandeur, Indian luxury trains like the Maharaja Express and Palace on Wheels stand in a league of their own.
