All clear after SLCC issues 'hold' for Ardoin Building on Lafayette campus
UPDATE, 12:35 p.m.: The college has issued an "all clear," saying that students and staff may resume normal activity.
ORIGINAL STORY: LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- South Louisiana Community College students and staff at its Lafayette campus are being asked to clear the halls and stay inside rooms.
A post on the college's Facebook page calls the action a "hold," similar to a shelter-in-place order.
"A HOLD! requires those in the building to hold in our rooms or areas," the post reads. "We also are asking everyone to clear the halls."
KLFY has received reports of a disturbance in the Ardoin Building, and police are responding. No other information has been released.
KLFY has a news crew on the way. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
