Tottenham may face competition from Liverpool for one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking talents in 2025.

The player in question is Eberechi Eze, who has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of years at Selhurst Park.

It seems only a matter of time before the attacking midfielder makes the step to a bigger club, with some perhaps surprised that he did not do so in the summer.

It has now emerged that Tottenham are set to reignite their interest in the 26-year-old but will face competition from two other clubs.

Three horse race

This information has been reported by Football Insider, who say that Liverpool are the latest club to join Tottenham and Newcastle United in the race for Eze’s signature.

The report points out that while the midfielder’s £68million release clause will become active again next summer, clubs are eyeing a cheaper deal.

It is suggested that an offer of around £50m-£60m could tempt the Eagles into cashing in on their star man, given that the player’s current deal runs out in 2027.

January move on the cards?

The outlet states that Eze is now seeking a new challenge after Palace’s poor start in Oliver Glasner’s first full season in charge.

However, it is explained that the South London club are reluctant to listen to offers for any of their key players during the January window.

Meanwhile, the publication also adds that Liverpool will prioritise signing a deep-lying midfielder in January before turning their attention to an attacking player such as Eze.
