Radio Pakistan has reported that several Afghans participated in protests organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in exchange for promises of financial rewards.

The state radio claimed that the arrested Afghans damaged public property during the demonstrations.

During these protests, Pakistani police arrested 412 individuals, including 60 Afghans.

So far, the PTI party has not made any official comments on the matter.

According to the report from Radio Pakistan, some of the detained individuals have revealed that they were misled by the PTI party, which is led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan and has been engaged in intense political disputes with the Pakistani government over the past three years.

Meanwhile, the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson called on the Pakistani government to address the legitimate demands of the opposition parties through negotiations.

However, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister rejected the Taliban’s remarks, stating that this was interference in the internal affairs of a democratic country. The Pakistani official advised the Taliban to focus on resolving Afghanistan’s internal challenges instead.

The disagreement has drawn attention to the delicate relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan, especially in light of the political and social instability both nations face. The Taliban’s comments have raised concerns about the group’s stance on governance and their involvement in Pakistan’s political landscape.

Moving forward, it remains critical for the Taliban to maintain focus on Afghanistan’s internal issues, including security and economic development, rather than involving themselves in the political affairs of neighboring countries like Pakistan. This situation underscores the importance of diplomatic boundaries in regional politics.
