King Charles’ surprising pen pal with ‘unforgettable bond’ revealed
King Charles shares a rather odd pen pal with whom he shares a passion for environmental conservation.
In her new memoir, Melania Trump wrote of her relationship with the King of England, who she first met in 2005.
The pair are said to have reconnected in 2019 when Donald and Melania paid a state visit to the United Kingdom.
Melania wrote: ‘This time we engaged in an interesting conversation about his deep-rooted commitment to environmental conservation.’
Melania’s new book touches on her childhood in Slovenia, her work as a model and her later marriage to Donald.
The Trumps are rumoured to have a good relationship with the royal family – though one royal author claimed the late Queen wasn’t fond of Donald.
The claims have been made by Craig Brown in his book ‘A Voyage Around The Queen’, and also claims Elizabeth believed Trump and his wife Melania had ‘some sort of arrangement’.
A portion of Brown’s book, published in the Daily Mail, read: ‘A few weeks after President Trump’s visit, for instance, she confided in one lunch guest that she found him “very rude”.
‘She particularly disliked the way he couldn’t stop looking over her shoulder, as though in search of others more interesting.
‘She also believed President Trump “must have some sort of arrangement” with his wife Melania, or else why would she have remained married to him?’
Trump was hosted by the Queen multiple times, but only once for an official state visit in 2019.
Yesterday, King Charles made a major announcement about his cancer treatment.
He said he will pause his cancer treatment during his high-profile tour to Australia next week.
Royal doctors gave Charles, 75, permission to briefly halt the weekly cycle in order to fly around the world for his key visit which is followed by a state visit to Samoa.
The monarch, who was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of the disease in February, will receive treatment up until his departure, and resume the outpatient appointments when he returns to the UK, the Daily Mail reported.
He will be away for 11 days, with the tour covering nine days with two days of travel either side, and his entourage will include, as is usual for Charles’s official overseas visits, his doctor.
