CENTRAL PARK, Manhattan (PIX11) -- Hundreds have gathered in Central Park to commemorate the Oct. 7th attack.

Families of victims, survivors, and those with loved ones still held hostage are in attendance.

Emotional testimonies and messages from Mayor Eric Adams and Governor Kathy Hochul will be delivered during the event, emceed by Oct. 7th survivor Natalie Sanandaji.

"A lot of the PTSD that I have is now when I go to a music event and I'm in a crowd and I hear loud noises that remind me of the booming and shooting that I heard that day, it's hard," said Sanandaji.

Tonight is about remembering the lives lost. It's honoring those sacrificed and calling to bring them home for the 101 who remain in Gaza. It's also about demonstrating community resiliency," said Hindy Poupko, of the UJA-Federation of New York.
