U.S. dollar little changed

NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar was almost flat in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, gained 0.01 percent to 102.535 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro was down to 1.0969 U.S. dollars from 1.0973 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound declined to 1.3071 dollars from 1.3122 dollars in the prev
