Hot and humid today, cold front arrives tonight

Hot, humid, and partly cloudy skies are in the forecast for Acadiana today but a strong cold front will move through the area this evening. Temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s this morning followed by highs in the lower 90s. The heat index could get hotter than 95° in a few spots. Much cooler and less humid weather moves in tonight as temperatures drop into the upper 50s to low 60s.

Starting tomorrow, cooler and comfortable weather should stay in Acadiana through the workweek as temperatures trend slightly above average. Humidity will slowly increase this weekend too.
