Chaka Khan Re-Wears Stella McCartney Booties at the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special in Los Angeles
Chaka Khan attended the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special held in Los Angeles tonight.
Although they were hard to see beneath the hem of her trousers, the “Through the Fire” singer sported a pair of black Ryder boots hailing from Stella McCartney. The stretch bootie style was ankle length, crafted of glossy black material and featured unique square molded toes made to resemble hooves.
Grungy silver studs lined the soles while zip-up closures and thin 3-inch stiletto heels neatly finished things out. Khan wore the same style while at the Nordoff and Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards 2024 held back in July of this year.
As the fall season approaches, it’s likely celebrities will begin to dust off their leather boots. Khan’s style offered her look a grungy twist, livening up her ensemble while providing a touch of youthfulness. Retailing for $273.75 via Nordstrom, the Ryder bootie is also available in a neutral beige colorway. McCartney’s footwear, accessories and apparel are all made with sustainable practices in mind and eco-friendly materials. It’s likely the Ryder bootie is no exception.
Partnered with her studded footwear, Khan sported bronzy leather trousers fixed with tassel detailing on the hips. On top, the musician donned a bronze-toned long-sleeve turtleneck crafted of sheer lace dotted with sequins.
The American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special will air on CBS on Sunday, October 6, at 8 p.m. ET in the US. 6:21 Created by Dick Clark in 1974, the AMAs have become one of the biggest fan-voted music awards shows.
