One killed in Hill Street shooting, Eunice police say
EUNICE, La. (KLFY) -- An investigation is underway after one person was fatally shot on Hill Street early Sunday, according to the Eunice Police Department.
The shooting was reported around 3 a.m. in the 200 block of Hill Street.
Eunice police said responding officers found one male victim lying in the roadway near a vehicle. The victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, police said, and the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said no suspects have been identified at this time.
No other details about the victim were immediately released.
