Assam's war on child marriage enters decisive phase: CM starts process of disbursing monthly financial assistance under Nijut Moina Scheme

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Nijut Moina scheme, offering monthly financial aid to girl students in Assam to combat child marriage and promote higher education. The scheme targets 10 lakh students and mandates regular attendance, good performance, discipline, and remaining unmarried up to PG level.
