BBC star’s ‘life made hell’ after sex pest producer bombarded her with x-rated pics and messages

A BBC star has claimed a sex pest producer bombarded her with sordid messages on WhatsApp and an X-rated picture.

The Scots actress revealed she called in the cops after Ryan Kirwan, 33, allegedly sent her an image of his private parts — along with the message: “I thought it might be quite sexy for you.”

The relationship quickly veered from professional to sleazy

And we can reveal that Kirwan, who boasts of working with the Beeb and stars of Netflix hit Sex Education, has faced similar accusations from other females in the industry.

The rising star, who we have agreed not to name, told how she approached him for help to produce a “showreel” video which would put her acting work in the shop window.

She had believed Kirwan could be trusted after showbiz pals recommended him.

But she claimed the creep’s chat quickly veered from professional to sleazy.

It began with what seemed like casual flirting when he commented on the woman’s WhatsApp profile picture.

She recalled: “I thought he was just being nice and gave him the benefit of the doubt. It didn’t really seem too bad.

“But it went from that to him sending me really disgusting voice messages along with a picture of his penis.”

She told how Kirwan, who was based in London, also sent her lewd messages about pleasuring himself.

The budding TV star told her talent manager about what she had been sent.

And she ordered her to cancel the showreel shoot amid concerns she could be left alone with Kirwan.

The actress recalled: “I would have had to turn up to the set, where it would be just me and him.

“I told my agent and they insisted, ‘You cannot go ahead and with this’.

“I was really upset and burst out crying. I’m usually a tough cookie but I was absolutely disgusted.”

The woman revealed she did not contact police initially after the messages three years ago because she feared being dragged through courts.

But she was persuaded to come forward after learning of other alleged victims of the so-called “showreel sexter”.

She explained: “I didn’t go to the police straight away.

He’s a serial sex pest

“I was reluctant to go through the court process and really didn’t want to think about it at all. But enough time has passed now for me to talk about it.

“When I heard that there were other women out there who had been sent pics from him I was gobsmacked.

“One sent me an online report outlining his similar behaviour with other women. I was absolutely shocked.

“I hope something gets done about this and they can press charges and he gets punished. He’s a serial sex pest.”

The up-and-coming star has stepped in to help other alleged victims. She explained: “I sometimes check to see if he is still working in the industry and it appears he is.

“I saw a young girl online reaching out to him with work and I warned her to be careful of him.

“I told her what happened to me and she said, ‘Oh s**t.’

“When you hear about stuff like that happening, you think, ‘F***, that’s annoying’.”

Kirwan hung up the phone when The Scottish Sun approached him for comment.

Cops confirmed they have launched a probe into the allegations against Kirwan.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We have received a report of indecent communications. Our inquiries are ongoing.”
