Schoolkids putting teachers in ‘deepfake’ porn as suspensions over social media misuse soar

MORE than 60 kids a day are being suspended from school over misuse of social media — including putting teachers in “deepfake” porn films.

Many of the offences involve bullying or abusing other pupils online, as well as insults towards teachers.

The Department for Education said in the 2022/23 school year, there were 11,419 incidents in total

Others involve sharing X-rated content.

And in some cases, kids have pulled staff pictures from school websites and edited them into pornographic videos also shared online.

The youngest to be suspended was in reception class, meaning they were just four or five. Their offence is not known.

The Department for Education said in the 2022/23 school year, there were 11,419 incidents — more than 60 every day in term-time — where kids were suspended over social media use.

That’s up from 6,626 just three years earlier.

The number expelled rose from 36 to 86.

The campaign for Real Education said a school phones ban is now an “urgent child protection issue.”

The Government said it supports schools to “prohibit the use of mobile phones”.
