Insiders Allege That Kevin Costner's Next Project May Be About Ex-wife Christine Baumgartner

If you thought exes Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner were done taking jabs at one another, you’d be wrong. In fact, insiders are now claiming that Costner has another project in the works, and it has everything to do with the heartbreak he faced during his divorce from Baumgartner.

Insiders recently told Life and Style Magazine that Costner is allegedly planning a breakup album (much like how Jennifer Lopez is allegedly planning to make one right now, too, about Ben Affleck).

“He’s got quite a musical following, and people will be interested to know his heart hasn’t healed and he’s got a ton of built-up angst to release,” an insider said. “This is his chance to let off some steam and [share] his two cents without coming across as a total jerk.”

“He takes his songwriting very seriously, and he’s got a lot of things to get off his chest. Christine threw him under the bus, hooked up with his now former friend and tried to take his house and take him to the cleaners,” they added to the outlet, also saying, “Kevin’s not the kind of guy to kiss and tell, but putting it to words and music is about as close to a tell-all as he’s going to get.”

Who knows, maybe 2025 will be the year of breakup albums?!

For those who don’t know, Costner and Baumgartner’s divorce played out quite publicly, with many jabs and back and forths with their finances taking up headlines. They were together from 2000 to 2004, when they got married in a lavish ceremony. After three kids and nearly 20 years of marriage, they divorced in 2023.

Allegedly, Baumgartner has been dating Costner’s former pal, Josh Connor since early 2024, and Costner has been low-key with dating.
