Two huge sitcoms confirm epic crossover as leading star shares behind-the-scenes snap, sending fans wild
TWO popular sitcoms are coming together for the very first time with an epic crossover episode currently in the works.
The stars of Abbott Elementary and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia seemingly confirmed the news with a first glimpse at the special show with a behind the scenes snap.

Further confirming that the cast of Abbott would be involved, Rob followed it up with a further snapshot of himself with the show’s Tyler James Williams and William Stanford Davis.
There had been mounting speculation that the two shows could crossover for the past few months – especially given both programmes are based in Philadelphia.
Quinta Brunson previously appeared to hint a “deal” had been worked out earlier this year when she told Variety: “Deals are made. I want you guys to know that. I’ll say I’m really excited for it.
“You want to find fun ways to shake things up without abandoning what you what you built. And I’m excited for this crossover of which I will not name with the other project.
“I’m excited to just shake things up in this way.
“I love TV, everyone knows that, but I love TV moments, and I miss those big TV moments. I remember how exciting they were.”
Whilst Abbott Elementary is produced by Warner Bros TV – both programmes are broadcast on Disney-owned networks allowing the crossover to successfully go ahead.
Abbott Elementary is aired on ABC whilst It’s Always Sunny airs on the Disney-owned FX brand.
The news that the two sitcoms would be coming together has already left fans excited with many already speculating how the two show casts will interact with one another.
Writing on Reddit, one fan said: “I can’t wait for the chaos this causes in both universes.”
Another added: “Can’t think of two shows that are more different. I’m sure the gang will be wonderful around children.”
A third penned: “Well that’s an interesting crossover.”
As a fourth went on to say: “This is going to be fantastic.”
However, some other long-term fans of the show were left sceptical as they wrote: “Bruh…..why ?? They don’t mesh at ALL.”
With another echoing: “Doubt it’ll be funny.”
Further details on the crossover episode are expected to be released in due course.
