These roads in Abbeville will be closed for the Louisiana Cattle Festival
ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) -- If you're planning on attending the 74th Annual Louisiana Cattle Festival in Abbeville over the weekend, you may need to change your planned route.
Downtown Abbeville will be gearing up for the festival, and road closures will be in place throughout the day. Here is a list of road closures:
Starting at 6:30 a.m. Friday:
- Concord at State
- Concord at Jefferson
- Northbound Washington at Lafayette
- Parking lot at City Hall will be closed at Jefferson
The Cattle stage arrival time is TBD. Once it arrives, Jefferson at Bank of Abbeville will be closed.
Additional closures around the Cattle Festival grounds will be going up after lunch. These closures will be along the following areas:
- Pere Megret at Main
- Washington at Lafayette
- Washington ay Youngs
- Jefferson at Franks
- Jefferson at E. St. Victor
- State Street at E. St. Victor
- Tivoli at St. Charles
Once the festival has began, the closures will stay in place through Sunday. Officials said visitors should expect more closures on Saturday for the parade.
