Altamont restaurant under new ownership
ALTAMONT, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Farmhouse Tap + Tavern, located at 186 Main Street in Altamont, has a new owner. Outgoing owner Jackie Silvestri-Edwards made the announcement on the restaurant's Facebook page on October 2.
"After many unforgettable years, I am writing to share some news that is both emotional and exciting for me. I have made the difficult decision to sell Farmhouse Tap + Tavern," said Silvestri-Edwards. "As many of you know, I recently gave birth to my beautiful daughter Charlee, and I’m going to focus on growing and raising my family."
Farmhouse Tap + Tavern first opened in April 2021 in the former Mio Vino space. The restaurant serves wood-fired pizza, burgers, sandwiches, steak, mac and cheese, soup, and salads, as well as cocktails, beer, and wine.
Silvestri-Edwards told NEWS10 that Greg MacFarland, who has been the Bar Manager since October 2021, is the new owner of Farmhouse Tap + Tavern. "He plans on keeping the restaurant as it’s been, and adding his own personal touches," said Silvestri-Edwards.
Silvestri-Edwards owns ADK Social Media and 518 Foodies, and she will continue with those businesses. She also has another food concept planned for the future once her baby grows up a bit.
"This is not goodbye, but a heartfelt thank you for all the love, laughter, and memories we’ve shared over the years," said Silvestri-Edwards. "I will forever cherish my time here and the connections we’ve made. I hope you will continue to support Greg and the Farmhouse with the same kindness and enthusiasm that you have shown me."
