Another restaurant in downtown Troy set to close
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Twisted Fiddler is the latest restaurant in Troy to announce that it's closing. Whiskey Pickle closed at the end of September, and Tatu Tacos & Tequila announced that it's closing on October 12.
Owner Tim Taney posted the closure notice on social media and on the front door on Friday. In September 2023, the restaurant rebranded from Slidin’ Dirty to Twisted Fiddler and had a renewed focus on music.
"At the end of this month, our lease at 9 First Street expires. After careful consideration, we decided not to renew," said Taney.
For its last month, Twisted Fiddler is closed on weekdays and open on select nights. A farewell party is set for October 26 with the last day being October 27.
- Open October 6 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the Jets game

"This is goodbye for now but not forever," said Taney. "Our sister business, Slidin' Dirty Food Truck & Catering, is going stronger than ever with a major, multi-month contract. In a few months, we will be looking to secure another sister restaurant space to serve as a base for our food truck."
