Schenectady man sentenced on attempted murder charge
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schenectady man will serve 12 years in prison for shooting someone in Albany in 2023. The Albany County District Attorney's Office said 24-year-old Deonte Dent was sentenced on Friday.
Dent pleaded guilty in August to second degree attempted murder. The shooting took place in September 2023 near Quail and Bradford Streets.
A 19-year-old man suffered a leg injury. Dent was also sentenced to five years of probation.
