Our shared driveway is damaged but my neighbour won't help with repair costs - can I force him to pay up?

My property shares a driveway with a neighbour. The driveway is now badly in need of repair, but my neighbour won't pay up. Is there some way of legally enforcing him to pay for the repair costs?
