Breguet Appoints Gregory Kissling as CEO
This week, storied Swiss watchmaker Breguet appointed Gregory Kissling as its new CEO. Kissling, a native of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is a seasoned microtechnology engineer with over two decades of experience at Swatch Group. With both an MBA and a Master’s in Luxury Management, his career began at Cartier, where he played a pivotal role in designing movements and managing all calibers. In 2004, he transitioned to Omega, taking on the role of Product Manager, later advancing to Head of Product Management in 2008, and joining the brand’s management team by 2014.
By 2022, Kissling was named Vice President of Omega, where he oversaw product development. His contributions include the launch of iconic timepieces such as the Seamaster James Bond “No Time To Die” and the 60th anniversary edition of the Seamaster, the revival of the legendary Caliber 321, and the creation of the widely celebrated Speedmaster Snoopy and Chrono Chime models. Additionally, he played a key role in cross-functional initiatives, including projects with Swatch and the development of Swatch Group’s proprietary precious metal alloys.
Recognized for his profound technical knowledge and expertise in luxury watchmaking, Kissling has now been appointed CEO of the prestigious House of Breguet as of October 1, 2024. Reporting directly to President Marc Hayek, he takes on the responsibility of leading the historic brand, continuing the watchmaking tradition of his fellow Neuchâtel native, Abraham-Louis Breguet, who founded the House in 1775.
