PowerShades Introduces Smart Lighting Offerings
PowerShades is expanding its expanding its reach into the smart home ecosystem with the introduction of PowerShades Smart Lighting. Introduced at CEDIA 2024, PowerShades Smart Lighting is available in two main configurations, as well as an assortment of sizes, styles, colors, and beam angles, Down Lighting is designed to be completely agnostic of the control system, while Smart Flex RGBW Strip Lighting can be scheduled to coordinate with the user’s automated shades according to the sun position at the geographic location of the install.
“We’ve been a fixture in the motorized shade market for years,” said PowerShades CEO Ryan Chacon. “Yet while we have enjoyed significant success with those products, we believe that diversification is the key to long-term success. The addition of smart lighting is a perfect gateway into the broader smart-home ecosystem, given the growing demand from consumers, as well as the ongoing requests from our dealers and distributors. Visitors to our CEDIA booth expressed exctiement about our entry into the smart lighting arena and the ways our lighting and automated shades can interact.”
The company is partnering with Converging Systems for control of the new Flex RGBW Strip Lighting, as their eNode controllers have drivers for all the major control systems. Both products will be available exclusively through the Powerhouse Alliance, PowerShades’ distribution partner.
