Airline Passengers Intervene in Alleged Domestic Violence Incident
American Airlines passengers intervened in an alleged domestic situation on a flight to North Carolina from Miami this week between a man and a woman seated in first class who were evidently traveling together.
In the video, posted to social media by Epoch Times reporter Arjun Singh on Wednesday, several passengers and a flight attendant can be seen huddled in the aisle next to the two seats at the front of the plane. At least two of the male passengers were heard yelling at the man.
"Do not f--king touch her. I don’t give a f--k. No, now. You f--cked up," one of the men could be heard saying. Added a second man: "Get your f--king hands off of her right now. You touch her again, you’re gonna get f--king arrested."
"That's f--ked up, you don't f--king touch her," the first man added.
The woman can then inaudibly be heard attempting to explain the situation to the group before she was helped to another seat across the aisle, as some of the passengers began to wander back to their seats. "No, you weren’t assaulted," she yelled at her travel companion, in response to his protests. "I put my hand over your mouth to make you shut up."
"This evening, there was a violent incident on my [American Airlines] Flight AA 310 from Miami to Charlotte," Singh captioned the video. "Several men jumped to subdue another man in first class, who entered an altercation with the lady next to him."
He added that while the flight arrived 26 minutes early, they weren't getting off the flight anytime soon.

In a follow-up video, Singh captured the scene when police officers boarded the flight from the tarmac. Several seated passengers can be heard cooperating with one of the officers, with one claiming that "he grabbed her pretty hard." The officer then tells the passengers, "I mean, it happened on the flight, it's out of our jurisdiction."

It's unclear if any arrests were made, however American Airlines has since released a statement regarding the incident.
"Two customers traveling together were engaged in an altercation aboard American Airlines flight 310, with service from Miami (MIA) to Charlotte (CLT) on Oct. 2," a spokesperson for the airline said, via the New York Post. "Local law enforcement responded and escorted the customers from the CLT airport."
"We do not tolerate violence, and we thank our team members for their professionalism in managing a difficult situation," the statement added.
