Man, 19, fatally shot in Washington Heights

A 19-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday night in the Washington Heights neighborhood.

About 9:15 p.m., Nachon Murphy was in the 700 block of West 93rd Street when someone fired shots, striking him multiple times, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.

A witness reported the shooter fled the scene in a black sedan, police said.

Area 2 detectives are investigating.
